Akeem's Story

Akeem is a senior boy who was surrendered by his owner, due to inability to care for him, but has been loved and extremely well cared for his entire life. He does well with very light meets with other dogs, but would not want to live with another pup. he is house trained, and up to date on vetting. He does have some allergies, but does well on Apoquel. He is good with cats & children.

Kane's Mission - Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
The potential adopter would fill out an application. We would contact them, and have an initial phone interview. The next steps are to set up the home inspection, and perform reference checks, as well as reach out to their veterinarian to make sure that their current or previous animals were all kept up on vaccinations, monthly flea/heartworm meds, and that they were well cared for, medically. After the home inspection, we would set up a meet and greet with them. Sometimes more than one meeting is necessary, especially if they have other animals. Once approved, they would fill out and sign the adoption contract, and pay the adoption fee, and we would then deliver the animal to them.
