Agnes's Story

Agnes, Aggie
7 years, 4lbs
Rescued in Texas

💙 Foster Note
I love her side-eye. I love her little bobble head. She looks like a broken down animatronic. She barely makes a sound, doesn’t bite when scared. She loves wearing clothes. She makes everyone on the street smile. If you plop her onto your chest when you’re laying down she will fall asleep like that!

💛 Personality Snapshot
Spunky, gentle, cautious, chill.
Low energy, but more as she is getting stronger. She is so weak from her crazy life before.
She's got an independent spirit, not a cuddler but follows me around like a shadow!
Timid in new situations (she is so small!) but chills out very quickly.

🐕 Social & Home Life
Good with gentle and calm people. Not psyched about children but not dangerous to them.
Not bothered by dogs, but also doesn’t seem interested.
Pretty scared of my big cat. Totally fine with my small cat, even tried to chase her.
When left alone she just chills in her bed. You almost forget she’s there!

🌞 Daily Life
● Typical day with you: She’s slept in bed one night and in a crate the next night. Fine with either. Wake up, go out right away so she doesn’t pee on the floor! She likes to walk. Breakfast. Nap. Walk. Lunch. Nap. Lots of pets. Maybe visit some friends. She loves sitting outside on a lap. Walk, dinner/meds. Bedtime. She needs a bath once a week. Ears cleaned, teeth brushed, nails clipped.
● Favorite activities or toys: She doesn’t quite know how to play yet but she is curious about toys. Loves walking (slowly) and observing the outdoors.
● She'd do best in a house that doesn't have stairs she has to navigate

🏡 Ideal Home
● Probably best to be the only dog and no kids because she is very fragile. A cat might be ok if its nice.
● Good fit for apartment living? Yes, but a work-from-home place would be best. She needs to eat small amounts of food 3 times a day.
● Best type of household (active, moderate, calm): Calm.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt Agnes, apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt.truenorthrescue@gmail.com to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!
