Agnes's Story

🐾💞Meet Agnes!
Adoption Fee: $525
This little gal came to us from a backyard breeder. She was one of the last ten dogs on the property after other rescues has taken their picks.
🐾💞Agnes is very sweet. Her age is definitely a guess but we would say mid-aged. She had a major dental and now only has a few teeth remaining. Her poor dentition was likely a combo of a life of stress, poor quality food, a lack of things to chew and no medical care ever - she simply existed to breed…. and make people money. Unfortunately these breeders are still widely supported/funded by the public as many are not concerned about where the pups come from or what condition the parents live in, as long as they have a small breed pup to purchase.
🐾💞Agnes has been vaccinated, spayed, chipped, had a dental, is heartworm negative and current on preventatives. She is very sweet, a bit timid still, and doesn’t yet know a leash. She is making progress with potty training but this is something we expect any adopter to be willing to work on. She loves to keep you company all day, she is good with other dogs and cats. We feel an adult home will be best for her due to her background and lack of socialization prior to rescue.
Agnes was groomed on intake and will need regular professional grooming.

For more information visit:

https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/sc/mt-pleasant/palmetto-paws-animal-rescue-sc316/

For the application to adopt:

https://form.jotform.com/250175174725154

Palmetto Paws Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION THROUGH PALMETTO PAWS: *For each pet listed there is a bio with all details. Please take the time to read the bio in full as questions already answered in the bio will not be responded to. *Completion of the adoption application does not guarantee that you will receive an animal from us. There are many things that we take into consideration when reviewing applications. We reserve the right to deny any applicant. Our goal is to match the right animal with the right home. *We review applications in order received. We don't adopt on a first come, first serve basis. The decision is multifactorial and ultimately based on which applicant we feel is the best match for each pet listed. *Our pets live in private foster homes. We do not foster to adopt. *There is no opportunity to meet multiple listed pets. We meet one on one with approved adopters on Saturdays in Mt Pleasant. We do not host adoption events. If at the time of a meet, all parties agree we have a good match, then the pet goes home at that time. We are not able to "hold" a pet to be adopted at a later date. *We do not consider applications of those not able to meet/adopt on the upcoming Saturday. Please only apply when you are available and ready to adopt. *Adoption fees vary by listed pet and are disclosed in the bio. Applications are only considered for pups listed on Petfinder. We do not keep applications "on file" for a later date. *Most pets listed are mixed breed. We make no representation as to breed mix or potential adult size. ADOPTION APPLICATION If you are interested in meeting one of our pets, please read the bio in full prior to submitting an application which can be found on our home page. Incomplete applications are not considered. The question regarding heartworm disease must be answered in full. Heartworm disease is a 100% preventable yet potentially life threatening disease in dogs. We believe every applicant should be well educated regarding heartworm disease and how to prevent it. Please remember that PPAR is an all volunteer organization. We do our best to process applications in a timely manner. The number of pets in our care and the number of applications we receive may influence processing time. Due to the high volume of applications received on certain pets we may only be able to respond to the selected applicant. The minimum age to adopt is 25 years.
