Adoption Policy

ADOPTION THROUGH PALMETTO PAWS: *For each pet listed there is a bio with all details. Please take the time to read the bio in full as questions already answered in the bio will not be responded to. *Completion of the adoption application does not guarantee that you will receive an animal from us. There are many things that we take into consideration when reviewing applications. We reserve the right to deny any applicant. Our goal is to match the right animal with the right home. *We review applications in order received. We don't adopt on a first come, first serve basis. The decision is multifactorial and ultimately based on which applicant we feel is the best match for each pet listed. *Our pets live in private foster homes. We do not foster to adopt. *There is no opportunity to meet multiple listed pets. We meet one on one with approved adopters on Saturdays in Mt Pleasant. We do not host adoption events. If at the time of a meet, all parties agree we have a good match, then the pet goes home at that time. We are not able to "hold" a pet to be adopted at a later date. *We do not consider applications of those not able to meet/adopt on the upcoming Saturday. Please only apply when you are available and ready to adopt. *Adoption fees vary by listed pet and are disclosed in the bio. Applications are only considered for pups listed on Petfinder. We do not keep applications "on file" for a later date. *Most pets listed are mixed breed. We make no representation as to breed mix or potential adult size.
