Ace's Story

Ace is Black Lab Bluetick Hound mix, not neutered yet but will be, or we can assist in getting him neutered at a highly discounted rate if he can be brought to Middlebury.

Ace loves being with his person, and has some separation anxiety. He has some fear and anxiety based behaviors, most likely from being shuffled around, and really needs a stable home that can focus Ace as a family member and give him the love he needs.

Ace has been around a couple of kids and was fine, he was excited and wanted to jump, not knowing his size, but didn't pay much mind to them after.

Ace was going to work with his owner for a while but it was hard to focus on his training, mainly jumping when excited, while at work.

Ace is super smart and learns quickly, it's just been hard for his current family to stay consistent due to other things going on in life.

More info to come, age, etc, just want to get Ace out there for everyone to adore.

This is a rehoming situation, our standard adoption fee does not apply. We are working with the family to assist in finding the best forever home for Ace and his fur brother Dozer. We want to prevent him being shuffled around and would like any potential adopters to plan on at least a 2nd or 3rd meeting to take him home. Our rescue never let's dogs leave at the first meeting, this way everyone has time to make sure it's the right fit and the dog isn't having to leave with a complete stranger. This has been the most successful way for dogs to transition into new families and homes.

If you are interested in learning more about and would like to meet him please email us at pawsitiveconnection2023@gmail.com, text 802-382-0081, or fill out our application- https://airtable.com/appV5pXp3DhFrF6ih/shrx6XhGytB9TIrE6
