7927 Koda and Kira's Story
Meet Kira and Koda!

Kira and Koda came to DRU following the passing of one of their beloved owners. With so much change and heartbreak, it became too much for the remaining owner to continue their care. The decision to bring them to DRU was undoubtedly a difficult one - but also an act of love - ensuring they would have the opportunity to find another wonderful home.

Kira and Koda are siblings who will be 3 years old in May. They share a special bond, and their ideal home would be together with a Doberman-savvy family who understands the breed and can continue to guide them.

Koda has recently been neutered, and Kira is scheduled for her spay. They have both been wonderful with our staff as they settle in. Kira is the spunky one, while Koda is more laid back and easygoing. Individually, they walk well on leash. We have been told that Koda can be somewhat reactive to other dogs and has a high prey drive, so experienced handling will be important.

Due to their size - each weighing in at 85+ pounds - they may do best with older children who understand and respect dogs.

These two have clearly been loved, and we are committed to helping them find a home where they can continue to grow, thrive, and stay together.
