7888 Thunder's Story
Thunder is a fun-loving, energetic dog with a big personality! Due to unexpected changes at home, his family made the tough decision to surrender him so we could find him a new home where he can thrive. He's full of enthusiasm-greeting people with excited jumps and even spinning in circles when he's happy. He loves to run around the yard and knows how to go inside when the door opens. Though he can jump a chain-link fence, we were told he doesn't try to escape.

This smart boy knows how to open round doorknobs (thanks to his young human sibling!), so make sure to lock them! He's fully housebroken and has a reliable potty schedule. If he really needs to go, he'll let you know with a howl. He understands the command "sientate" (sit in Spanish) and responds when you point your finger down.

Thunder enjoys being part of the family but can get overstimulated in tight spaces, especially around other dogs. He has shown some resource guarding behaviors, particularly with the male dog sibling he was living with. He'll need a patient and experienced home that can help him manage his energy and emotions.

A few quirks to know: Thunder gets car sick and can only handle about 15-minute drives before needing a break. He's terrified of vacuums and brooms. He also doesn't realize his own size, so he might push you off the couch or accidentally run into walls when he's excited. Going up stairs is no problem, but he sometimes needs encouragement to go back down.

Thunder is looking for an active and structured home where he can continue his training and feel safe. If you're ready to help this lovable goofball reach his full potential, he's ready to meet you!

Could Thunder be the spark in your life? Come meet him today!
