Hi there! My name is Petey but my foster mom calls me sweetie Petey. I am a handsome silky smooth lover boy in the market for a home of my own. I was in animal control when this nice rescue pulled me and got me into a nice foster home but I really am looking for a forever family of my own. I went through something called heartworm treatment and I feel much better now. I am crate trained and mostly housetrained though I do like to go out often. I love walks to do sniffs and tinkles on things ? I can be picky with my canine friends but really you won’t need anyone but me with all this love I have to give. No kitties or small kids for me - I prefer an older more refined kid and kitties are just too fun to chase! I do require a fenced in yard but if somebody was committed to leash walking I would make a fine apartment dog as well. I will alert you to trouble and have a nice deep bark but I only use it when I need to. I am sure to keep you safe while we snuggle in bed at night ? have your people call my people if you’re ready for the best unconditional love of your life.
