486 (2026) Sally's Story

Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

*Sally is believed to be partially, if not fully, deaf*

What we know: Litter of 4 (2M, 2F) transferred from 1 Tail At A Time in NM at approximately 8 months old. 1 Tail pulled the litter from a shelter in late September of 2025. Litter started as 5 and one suddenly passed away so intake was delayed to make sure the rest were healthy.

From the foster: Hi my name is Sally, but my foster is teaching me to respond to the ASL sign for "S" since I can't hear. That's okay though because my nose works really well!

Do you need help meeting people? I'm really good at that. My foster says the word "stranger" but I don't know what that means. I want to be friends with everyone! On walks, I like to sit and wait until a new friend walks by and I try to join them, until I get distracted by something I must smell, of course. I am also very excited to meet small humans. If you can give me attention, we will be BFFs.

My favorite thing to do is be with you, or better yet, lay on top of you! Someone said I was 40 pounds but they lied and added a 0. I'm a tiny lap dog. I sleep through the night in my crate, but I would love to sleep in bed with my people.

I don't like when I am left in my crate or being out of sight from my people. I'm working on it though. I was so brave and learned to use the stairs very quickly. My reflection and the TV are still pretty scary. I met some smaller dogs on walks, and they seem okay. I don't think I like dogs bigger than me very much. I just learned cats exist; they are kinda scary so I might growl a little bit and cower/shake.

Do you want to learn ASL, meet lots of friends and then cuddle on the couch with me? Pretty please let me be your wing woman and tiny lap dog for life!

www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
