465 (2026) Treasury's Story

Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

What we know: Two 8-month-old Giant Schnauzer mixes transferred to us from Operation Kindness (TX) as part of a larger owner surrender group. Originally seven puppies, five were ultimately surrendered-two came to us and three to another rescue.

From the foster: Meet puppy 465. She's known by the name Treasury, but we've been calling her Layla, and she's truly a gentle giant (she'll likely reach about 70 lbs or more by the time she finishes growing)! This pup gives love as big as her size, and while she gives the BEST hugs, she may need some gentle guidance about jumping up. For this reason, she may do better in a home with older kiddos. She's been great with our more mature dog, and has been very respectful of his food bowl and bed. She's still learning potty training and basic commands, but with lots of reinforcement and patience, she'll catch on in no time. She's also learning to walk on a leash and we've noticed that she's more motivated by positive attention than treats for this task, although little cubes of boiled chicken will never be turned down;) Her coat will need regular grooming as she's a leaf magnet but sooo soft. For everything you put into her, you'll be rewarded with the most loyal best friend you've ever had!!

www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
