He loves his toys and loves to run around and play. He is all terrier and therefore not suited for a sedentary, low-energy household. He is also a young dog just turning one, so we still some puppy behavior. He plays and wrestles with the resident dog and follows the child in the home all over the place!!<br/>He will need a regular potty schedule and patience so that he will get his business done. He gets distracted, thinks he has gone to the bathroom or thinks he doesn't need to go so if rushed. Then he will come inside and "oops". Make sure he gets a visit outside just before you go to bed and he actually goes. He is just so easily distracted!! Again, he is such a terrier!<br/>Give him a toy and he will play! He is learning to fetch and is very, very smart and very trainable. He sits, shakes and is working on stay and come. This is a challenge because he always wants to rush outside to explore, but he is doing a great job. He easily goes into his crate and sleeps there at night. He is also very inquisitive and so intelligent that we feel he could be trained to do just about anything. He masters the puzzle treat board. <br/>Because he is so treat/food motivated, this form of reward is recommended for his potty training as well.<br/>He is such a sweetie and a big snuggler! He has a lot of love to give and is very eager to please not to mention, so dang handsome!!!!<br/><br/><br/>If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org<br/><br/>This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue. Meet and greets are 11:00 - 1:00. <br/>Our address is: <br/>4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14<br/>Shingle Springs, CA<br/><br/>Please bring all resident dogs and children that live in the household to the meet and greet.<br/><br/>Our adult dog adoption fee is $350 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and fee for pups under 4 months old is $400 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card). Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, rabies, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, microchip, heart worm test and lifetime registration.
