2402-0374 Leo (Off Site Foster) Mixed Breed Virginia Beach, VA

Leo is a looker - beautiful reddish color, a button nose, and different colored eyes! He is a shy but affectionate 50-pound puppy; once he accepts you as a friend, he's a 'leaner' - that dog that likes to be close and lean against you while watching what you do.

Leo came into the shelter with his buddy Rover (2402-0375). They enjoy sharing a kennel together where Rover uses Leo as a pillow.

Good with older kids and some dogs
Calm and quiet
Very attentive to his friends; loves to be close to you.

Field Trip Notes: Leo had a great trip to the beach!

Leo was easy to get in and out of the car. On the car ride, he was calm and relaxed. Leo walked calmly down the boardwalk enjoying all the sights and sounds. He walked right beside me with a ZERO pull on the leash.

We passed several dogs with no drama, even though some barked at us. Leo glanced over at them, but mostly he focused his attention on me. When I sat on a bench to take a break, Leo leaned against me enjoying head scratches and back rubs. The exercise, sun, and wind made him sleepy and as soon as we were in the car, his eyes got droopy. He leaned over, fell asleep against my arm, and that's how we drove back.

Leo was so easy and fun to take on a field trip - with his feather-like connection on the leash and gentle quiet demeanor, he was a breeze to be with.
