IKE doesn't just like tugging, IKE LOVES TUGGING!

Ike is a 3 year old, 65 pound active boy. He loves to play tug and he plays nicely without dislocating your shoulder. He does, however, pull pretty hard on the leash especially if he knows he is going to a yard to play. Our routine - me dropping the leash in the shelter lobby so he can run to the toy bin and choose his own tennis ball and then me dropping the leash as we get close to the barnyard which he charges towards in anticipation of play.

He loves fetch but his fetch game consists of him retrieving a tennis ball, dropping that tennis ball and acting like he will fetch the one in your hand. Yet, in one swift lightning fast movement, he turns back towards the one he just dropped and jumps on it before you have any chance of picking it up. He then runs around you back and forth with this special tennis ball, in a teasing nonetheless playful way waiting for your next move.

If he finds a toy or tug toy he likes, he will also run and run around with this in his mouth sometimes throwing it up to himself for entertainment.

Ike is a special boy with special intelligence. We think a job or agility or special enrichment activities would be fantastic for him. Ike is also house trained although patience would be a virtue as he has been living with a shelter routine for 6 months now.

*Ike can be triggered by men who are yelling angrily, which is what landed him in doggie jail to begin with but with the right family, Ike will be a wonderful member!
