2026 Newf 1's Story

Sweet, loving girl. She gets along well with other Newfs without being pushy or aggressive with them. She shows no food aggression and definitely needs to lose a few pounds. (The vet says about 15.) She has clearly had very little training, but she's learned to behave nicely on a leash with very little effort on our part. A firm voice is generally the only correction she needs. She adapted to a Invisible Fence almost immediately and respects her boundaries. She LOVES being in the house and follows her person everywhere. She does need supervision, as she is a very inquisitive girl. Staying in a kennel run at night and when nobody is home. She's not a big fan of grooming but tolerates it well foster insists. This girl has a lot of love to give!

Has some stiffness in her back end, but she trots along and runs without any appearance of pain.

Has some behavior showing as possible separation anxiety we are working on, but is managed with due diligence.

She likes people. Pretty much ignores the other dogs unless they start wrestling and annoy her.

She is currently being foster Northeast of Indianapolis, IN and is ready for her forever home. A home check is required and Adopter is required to travel to pick up on approval to adopt.

Complete our adoption application at the following:
https://www.scnewfrescue.org/application.html
