1207 Milo's Story
Milo is fostered in the St Louis, Missouri area.

Meet Milo, a handsome young black tri male standard Australian Shepherd puppy with one blue eye and one brown eye. He will soon be a year old (10/31/20206) and is approximately 40 lbs. Milo was purchased as a puppy from a breeder, but the family quickly realized he needed more than they could offer a aussie puppy.

Milo, being a puppy, is a typical energetic and excitable pup. He loves to play with toys and, most of all, loves to run and fetch a tennis ball. He will even bring it back then drop it on his return. Milo is always ready for a walk or a car ride. He greets his foster mom and dad at the door each day, ready for the next adventure.

He is being fostered with two other dogs and just wants to play with them. He loves his walks, but still needs work on his leash-walking etiquette. He will need a committed foster to continue positive reinforcement training with him. We recommend an active home where he will get a lot of attention, training and also has some previous herding breed experience.

As with any young aussie, he can be excitable in his greeting. He is house trained and needs to remain on a consistent schedule. He is extremely well crate trained. When left alone uncrated, he has been known to help himself to things he shouldn't. In his foster home, he currently has access to a dog door and a fenced yard.

Milo is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization. For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.

NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family. MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives. www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org
