Sophie is being fostered in Waukesha WI<br/><br/>Meet Sophie! This sweet girlie is black tri standard Australian Shepherd. Her date of birth is 2/17/2020 and she weighs 83lbs! Sadly, she is quite overweight, but in rescue she has already lost a few pounds being active and on a special diet. <br/><br/>Sophie is crate and potty trained. She doesn't have to be created though, she does great in her foster home even when not crated. She has done great with children that are 10+. She is a little standoffish at first, but if she comes to you, she will be easygoing. She is food motivated and warms up SUPER quickly with treats. She rides great in the car and walks well on leash. <br/><br/>Her forever home needs to be committed to her losing weight. She should weigh between 50-55lbs. to be at an ideal weight. She is pretty low energy right now, but we imagine that once she sheds some weight, she will have more energy. She also LOVES water! She has been in the kiddie pool in her foster home and enjoys it! <br/><br/>Sophie came to us from the Humane Society and was an owner surrender because they were moving and could not take her with. She is great with other dogs and cats. She is being fostered with a few other pups and does great with everyone. <br/><br/>Sophie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, negative for all tick borne diseases, and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. <br/><br/>Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.
