1127 Rose's Story

Rose is fostered in Holland, Michigan.

Meet Rose . Rose is a black tri female Australian Shepherd and quite possibly the sweetest girl in the whole world. She's a little skittish at first, but give her a moment and she'll warm right up—and once she trusts you, she's the snuggliest companion, especially in bed. She is approximately 40 lbs and estimated to be about 4 years of age.

She loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She tends to prefer women initially but will happily warm up to men too. Rose is quiet by nature—not very vocal at all—and she absolutely adores her crate. Rose is well on her way with training. She's fully potty trained (not a single accident in the house!), knows “sit” and “lay down,” and is working on “come.” She's smart and eager to learn. She's also good with grooming—just a little wiggly—and very gentle through it all.

Gentle really is the word for Rose. She's mostly stopped jumping on people, and even when she does, it's the softest little hop. She takes treats so delicately, barely using the front of her teeth. We've affectionately nicknamed her Rosy Posy, Roseaphene, and Rosalina—because she's a happy little goofball who's stolen the hearts of her foster home. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle, loving companion, Rose is your girl.

Rose is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. She does require a committed adopter who is willing to devote 1 - 2 hours of mental and physical stimulation per day.

NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family. MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives. www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org
