1111 Odie's Story

Odie is fostered in Southport, IN

If dogs could talk, this little dude has quite a story. We'll save that for another day, but just know that what we were told about him has mostly not been true. Odie is a tiny thing at just 9 lbs and approximately 3 years of age. We were informed he is a toy Australian Shepherd and Pomeranian mix. Whatever he is, he is darn cute!

Odie is a bit shy at first, but with a little time and treats, he comes around nicely. Once he knows you, he is a TOTAL cuddle bug and will even sleep curled around his foster mom's head at night. He is good with other dogs of all sizes, however, he can get a little fussy with larger dogs if they steal his toys. (Can you blame him?)

Odie LOVES attention, and by attention, he loves being a lap dog soaking up all the attention he can get. He is great in the car and enjoys car rides. He is SUPER happy just being near his people and tossing his toys in the air, playing by himself. He will even engage in a game of chase with the bigger dogs.

He would do best with a female adopter, or at least having a female in the home as he tends to bond with them quicker. He also would do best with no children under 10 years of age and we highly recommend a physically fenced yard.

Odie is good with crate training and should remain on a consistent schedule for potty training. He is good with grooming, leash walking and has been working on some basic obedience. If you are interested in this tiny fluff, please read his entire bio as he will need a commited adopter to continue the training and consistency his foster has been doing with him.

Odie is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization. For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.

NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family. MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives. www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org
