I'm 10K Lexi!

I have tried to run my best race, tackling hurdles and enduring tough challenges during my many miles of life. Trying to live the best I could with what I was given, I am excited about the prospect of living my golden years in the comfort of a home by a warm fireplace, next to someone who cherishes me.

I was rescued by a neighbor after she noticed that I had been abandoned and left behind in the yard by my previous owner. I've lived mostly outside, and have always been curious to know what it's like to be part of a family inside a cozy home.

I was in the lady's home long enough to show her that I crave love and attention, as well as returning it tenfold. I enjoy car rides, have energy for adventure, and jump up at times in my excitement when seeking attention. I know how to sit, as well as several other basic commands, and am pretty good at following directions. I enjoy being around most adults, and have positive experience with loving on older kids (10 or so). I was kept mostly outside, but seem to know my manners in the house, as who wants to soil their nice living area? I have not been around other dogs much, so probably best if I don't have to share the attention.
