ZOEY Domestic Short Hair & Tiger Mix Muskegon, MI

ZOEY is only 4 years old and at 15# is already a big girl. ZOEY had a home, but her people moved and did not take her with them. She was transferred to us from another shelter.
ZOEY has a lovely black and brown tiger coat that she keeps meticulously clean.
ZOEY is a very calm, easy-going girl who loves attention. She is not crazy about being picked up, but will allow it, briefly! She may find being picked up uncomfortable, given her size. She loves being petted and having her head and chin scratched. At the shelter, ZOEY will jump right up on the bench in the hall and snuggle. She tries to get on your lap, but there is usually not enough room, so she settles for sitting next to you on the bench. If you stop paying attention, she will give you a head butt, or a gentle tap on the shoulder to remind you that she is still there and not ready for the loving to stop.
ZOEY is fine with the other cats in her room at the shelter and likes the kids who come to visit. She loves to play, especially with a laser pointer. She is not a kitten though, so if she is adopted to a family home, the children need to understand that her play time will be in short spurts, and she needs to be left alone when she gets tired. She apparently has had experience with dogs and was ok with it. She is known to stand up for herself though, so any other pet in the house should not be aggressive.
ZOEY is a sweetheart who is a bit of a chunky monkey, which makes her even cuter, but she should probably lay off the carbs! ZOEY is a sweet girl who simply deserves to have a stable home with people who will love her FOREVER!
