Zeke's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact JoWo for more information about this pet. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/

Meet Zeke

Zeke is a very special boy looking for a special home. He’s sweet, affectionate, playful, and just the right amount of silly! He’s a wonderful companion with a lot of love to give.

Zeke was originally trapped as part of a TNR (trap, neuter, return) project in Chicago. It quickly became clear that he was friendly and meant for indoor life. During his vet exam, Zeke was diagnosed with pectus excavatum (a congenital chest condition) and chronic rhinitis. With the help of donors, Zeke received medical care at UW-Madison and is ready for adoption.
The good news is that his quality of life is good, and he does not currently require medication. His future adopter should simply be willing to monitor his condition and understand that he may occasionally make snorting sounds, similar to a pug.

Zeke has a great balance of cuddly and independent. He loves sleeping next to his foster parent but is also happy to entertain himself with toys or birdwatching from the window. He’s a great eater and an easy companion who will thrive in a home that loves him just as he is.

Zeke would do well with another calm, respectful cat. He’s a laid-back guy and would enjoy a similarly chill feline friend. While he may take a few days to warm up to new people, once he feels comfortable, his sweet and funny personality really shines.

Zeke is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and fully litter box trained.

His adoption fee is $135. If you’re interested in meeting Zeke, please fill out our online application. Once approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meet-and-greet.
