Winter's Story

Meet Winter, affectionately known as “Winnie” — a tiny survivor with a heart still full of love. This beautiful dilute calico, estimated to be 13–15 years old, is searching for one final chapter: a quiet, safe home where she can finally rest, be cherished, and know what it feels like to truly belong.

Winter’s story hasn’t been an easy one. She was found alone outside in the dead of winter, deaf, painfully matted, and covered in ticks. It was clear she had been surviving for far too long on her own. Since coming into rescue, Winnie has endured extensive medical care including dental extractions, removal of mammary masses, and even the removal of a bullet from her tiny body — heartbreaking proof that life has not always been kind to her. A biopsy was performed on the mammary tissue, but sadly the sample was lost in transit, leaving her diagnosis unknown.

And yet… Winter still chooses love.

She adores attention, leans into affection, and carries herself with the sweet confidence of a cat who still believes people can be good. She has the cutest little stub tail that wags when she’s happy, and just enough calico sass to grumble when she decides brushing time is over. It’s impossible not to fall in love with her gentle spirit.

Winter gets along well with other cats and is completely unbothered by dogs. What she truly wants is simple: a warm bed, soft blankets, kind hands, and someone willing to open their heart to a senior girl who deserves peace after everything she has survived.

She may not have decades left ahead of her, but the love she will give in the time she has is immeasurable.

Could you be Winnie’s hero and give her the forever home she has waited her whole life for?

Adoption application can be found at this link- https://airtable.com/shrGSvgMTS3wUQn2H
