Willy's Story

Meet Willy!

Willy is a curious, spirited senior gentleman who loves exploring and finding the perfect sunny spot to curl up for a nap. He came into our care when he was no longer a good fit for his previous household. Willy can have a hard time with change, so it will be important for him to go to a home that is sensitive to his body language and behavioral needs, and willing to work within his tolerance levels.

In a new home, being proactive about setting up the environment to reduce exposure to things that he might find stressful will be important. Things like cat shelves added to the walls can be a wonderful addition to your decor. Additionally, cat trees and other elevated surfaces increase the living space available for a cat, helping them feel more confident by being off the floor and giving them extra opportunities for climbing, perching, and surveying the kingdom! Providing ample indoor enrichment will be essential to him being able to exhibit healthy cat behavior indoors, such as playing, climbing and scratching. Additionally, easy and convenient access to his litter box, possibly adding a second litter box, and keeping good litter box hygiene will be high on his list of requests.

He enjoys Churu treats and playtime with toys. He's independent but appreciates calm human interaction. Willy would thrive in a quieter home with people who understand his need for space and predictability and allow him to enjoy life at his own pace.

Dogs: Willy has previously displayed stress behaviors related to living with dogs. Willy is looking for a home without dogs.
Cats: Willy has previously lived with cats, but has displayed stress behaviors that can be complicated in multi-cat households. Willy is now looking for a home without other cats.
Children: Willy has previously displayed stress behaviors related to living with children. Willy is looking for an adults-only home or possibly a home with older, quiet and respectful children.

Visit our Adoption Center to meet your potential new best friend! Please visit the Adopt section of our website for details on the adoption process. We look forward to seeing you soon!
