Meet Walter
Hey there! It's me, Walter! Can you believe I've been in a foster home since the New Year?! It's awesome here! I get to sleep on beds and chairs, lay in the sun, and get lots of pets and brushing! But my favorite place to nap is in my foster mom's empty laundry baskets or her bathroom sink.
As most of my long time followers know, I am a four paw declawed, male neutered, Himalayan. Due to the declawing, I have a history of going to the bathroom outside the litter box. I've had a few vet appointments to see if there are any medical reasons this could be happening. After a thorough exam, bloodwork, and X-rays it was determined that I have arthritis in most of my joints. Partly due to how my whole body has had to adjust because of being declawed and partly because I'm a middle aged cat. I am now on a once monthly shot that will help with arthritis pain! My foster mom has noticed that I'm more willing to run around and play since starting! Yah-hoo!! Unfortunately, it has not cured my urge to use the bathroom outside the box. All other non medical options to help with going outside the box have also been tried with no improvement.
My foster mom has also figured out that I'm a cat that needs to be in a kitty condo cage when she leaves the house and at night. I do not enjoy a lot of commotion. A home with kids over the age of 10 would be okay. I'm not fond of dogs, but if you happen to have a calm older dog that will not bug me, I might be able to make an exception. Same goes for cats.

You are okay with a cat that WILL pee and or poop on your bed, furniture, or any soft surface
You will be REQUIRED to continue my once monthly Solensia pain shots. Depending on the vet the price ranges from $75-$120.
You will be REQUIRED to have a cat condo cage setup that will comfortably fit me
Special Litter: I use a litter that is made of wood and is softer on my paws than clay litter.
No young and rambunctious cats or dogs
No kids under the age of 10.
