Meet Verity
Verity is a beautiful 4-year-old cat looking for her forever home!
Hi, I'm Verity, but my foster family calls me Vera for short. Not a lot is known about my background, unfortunately. I was found as a stray in rural MN, but I was definitely somebody's pet at one point because I was already spayed when I got to the shelter. I spent 3.5 months there and sadly nobody came to claim me.
I am a very sweet girl who likes to jump in your lap and cuddle or rub all over your legs. I also like to snuggle up under the covers in bed. I absolutely love to play, especially with strings or any toys I can chase around. I also enjoy spending time looking out the window and watching the birds and squirrels.
My foster mom says I also have a sassy side to me, what she calls the "calico catitude" and that I like things on my terms. If I get overstimulated, such as when I'm being brushed or if I don’t want to be pet anymore, I will give love bites as a warning. I don't ever do it to hurt you, but just to let you know that I no longer want to be touched. It's my way of communicating. For that reason, I shouldn't be in a home with young children. Other cats seem to stress me out, so I would love to rule my new house as a solo kitty! I did meet a dog and it went pretty well, so I think I would be ok with a canine in my new home as long as proper slow intros were done and they are respectful of my space. My foster mom thinks I would really do best with an experienced cat person; someone who can love me for the diva princess that I am!
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
