Meet Turbo

Turbo came to us from Operation CatSnip with Riley. They didn't know each other unfortunately because they had to live in isolation due to being feline leukemia positive. Since they could not live with the community kitties, they had no choice than to live in cages. When the wonderful folks at Operation CatSnip heard ARC had space, we coordinated for Turbo and Riley to come live with us!

Now, Turbo and Riley are becoming fast friends, along with their other roommate Coconut. They are enjoying having lots of space to lounge, play and just explore. Turbo is actually getting pretty friendly with Coconut, they enjoy head boops and scent sharing with each other! We love watching this relationship blossom!

Turbo is a MASTER BISCUIT MAKER!!! He can make biscuits like no other, he is the sweetest cat and just loves to get pets and loves. Of course he'll show his appreciation with more biscuits! He is pretty shy with new people and kitties, but will still make biscuits from whatever cubby he is settled into. Once he is comfortable, he will not hesitate to reach out for attention... and in return make you some biscuits!

Turbo is marked as "special needs" because he is positive for the feline leukemia virus (FeLV). This does NOT impact his lovingness, playfulness or adoptability, as you can see he is a healthy boy! However, he should go to a home with either no other cats or a home with other FeLV positive cats. There is a lot of information on the internet about FeLV, but not all of it is accurate or up to date. To learn more, we recommend starting with the Alley Cat Allies white papers to veterinarians FeLV Fact Sheet: https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-leukemia-virus-felv/.

If you're ready to make Turbo (and maybe Coconut or Riley!?) a new member of your family, please fill out an adoption form from our website animalrefugecenter.org or hit the inquiry button and we'll be in touch!
