Meet Tucker

Tucker is a 13 and a half year old Polydactyl male cat who's a shy fella but a big sweetheart. His previous owners had him for 13 years of his life before suddenly rehoming him for reasons unknown.

Due to the condition Tucker was in upon surrender, he was underweight, had a UTI and was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. Thanks to our wonderful vets, Tucker has since gained weight, healed from his UTI and is successfully managing his thyroid disease with medication. This medication costs less than $20 every month and can easily be given to him with a pill gun morning and night.

Tucker is a sweet gentle big boy who has extra toes and soft paws. He loves head bumps and will boop his head on anything when he's happy. See that pillow there? Head boop! You wanna stick your head out for him? Head boop! When he's happy, he loves chatting at you from across the room. He's not too vocal and only does this when he wants attention like during bedtime when everyone is in the room. Sometimes he will come lay with you or you may catch him sitting on the bed when entering the room. He's most active at night, so if you're a night owl than he's going to make a wonderful companion for you to spend your nights with. But he's also a bit active during the day and enjoys flopping on the floor, rolling around in pleasure and playing with his cat toys. His favorite toys are the soft plush toys and prefers carpet scratching posts, not cardboard. Tucker likes to run when he hears loud noises and will dart back to his safe zone which is a cozy cat bed. Tucker must have cat beds in his home. That's where he feels the safest when startled. He's content in a small room, preferably the bedroom.

Tucker needs a specific home due to his shy nature and possible mistreatment in his previous home. Tucker cannot be around other cats due to his extremely fearful nature of them upon first introductions at the rescue. But is fine in his foster home with small dogs. Tucker does not like loud noises either, so he must be in a home without kids or teens. A quiet adult home is required. Due to Tucker not leaving the bedroom, we think a small home or apartment is ideal for him since he does not wish to explore like normal cats.

Tucker is fixed, up to date on all his shots, tested negative for FIV/FELV and is microchipped. He will come with his medical paperwork and microchip ID for you to register in your name.
