Meet Topaz NYC RB
Topaz is understandably shy at first having found himself outside as a stray after 4 years of loving his family...we don't know much about him yet but think he'd prefer a quiet home without children and probably not dogs either. Not sure about cats at this point. He is 4y, 10lbs and we do not know if he is a true Blue but he does appear to be. Because we just can't say for sure, please do not apply if you are doing so thinking he is hypoallergenic. Please adopt because you want to help a cat in need of you and can help him blossom into the cat he really is underneath that very cool looking exterior! Some cat experience is advised. Please apply if you are his new furever home. NYC pick up.

All our cats are in the NY area and can be adopted out of state. We do like to meet you so plan on picking up; if flying, in cabin only; in some cases we will help with transport.
Please note: kittens MUST be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we are happy to recommend cats who would do best as solos. Cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/Felv tested, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.
Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can perhaps foster, volunteer, and of course, you can always donate!
