Topaz was a stray brought to a suburban animal control facility.
ABOUT:
Topaz is a smart, playful, outgoing guy. When we asked his foster mom what his favorite things are she said: Playing with wand toys, eating food, eating treats, and giving kisses. Topaz is very affectionate and loves to be the center of attention, but he doesn’t love to be held or carried around. Topaz is excellent at communicating his needs. Not only does he chirp to get your attention when he wants some love, but he will often also figure out where he wants to be pet. If he wants you to pet his head, he will headbutt you. If he wants his cheeks or body rubbed, he will rub them against you. Topaz is a young guy so he will need some daily vigorous playtime to keep him (and you) happy. He occasionally gets overstimulated but his foster mom thinks that this is probably because he spends a lot of time alone and just needs more outlets for his energy. Wand toys with a big target (feather, ribbon) are his favorite, but he also likes to stalk his other toys from under the bed and pounce on them when they least expect it. Topaz would love to be an only cat as he loves to soak up all the attention. Topaz is a super cool, friendly, social, smart boy. Although we can’t say for sure, he might be a great choice for someone who always wanted to try to train a cat to do some cool things.
