Meet Tootsie (Neutered) (Photos 3/9/2024)
Tootsie is a handsome 2-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on February 27, 2024 along with his companion (Hooter). These boys were found on Third Street in Lowell Ohio around January 1st and kept safe during the cold weather.
Tootsie has a black short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark golden eyes, tiny 'ear tufts', a black velvet nose, and long white whiskers.
The Good Samaritan who found Tootsie told us that he was good with children but that he was not good with other cats. However, Tootsie has been enjoying a double-wide cage with his companion Hooter since arriving at HSOV, and he seems to take comfort in knowing he has a friend nearby .. and Tootsie LOVES to snuggle up in a donut bed which he considers a safe haven.
Tootsie was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on February 27, 2024. He is a big boy who weighed 11.8 lbs that day. Tootsie was given rabies vaccine on March 19, 2024.
Tootsie was the sixth (and final) HSOV kitty participant in our St Patrick's mini-photo publicity pictures on March 9, 2024. Tootsie put on his 'brave big boy face' (since he wasn't sure he could do this), and we whispered in his ear that 'sometimes we save the best for last'. Tootsie is usually very shy in his cage, but he was quite sociable and loved attention from HSOV Volunteer Wendy Jo Irvin during his photo session.
Tootsie has already been neutered and would love to find a fabulous home with someone who will give him the time he needs to acclimate to his new surroundings.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
