Tom's Story
Tom is 3 years old and ready for a fresh start. When his owner moved into an assisted living facility, Tom and his sibling Curly suddenly found themselves leaving the only home they had known. Tom has always been an indoor cat, and all the unexpected changes were pretty scary for him. He was frightened enough that he had to be trapped inside the home for transport, but once safely in our care, he allowed all handling despite being nervous. That tells us there's a brave little guy underneath all that uncertainty. Tom just needs some patience, a calm place to settle in, and someone willing to let him take things at his own pace. With a little time to feel safe, we think Tom will be ready to put the scary stuff behind him and discover that starting over can be a pretty good thing.
