Meet Tokyo and Menge (bonded pair)

Tokyo and Menge are sisters by choice and are looking for a forever home that includes people who need cat cuddles and lots of pillows to snooze on. Tokyo is about 10 months old while Menge is about 8 months old.

Both are very friendly with people and would love kids to play with. Although they are unknown around new cats and dogs, both would likely do okay with appropriate intros. Tokyo will sometimes give a few light “play-nips” if she doesn't get enough attention, so would likely do better with older children.

Both fastidious girls like a clean litter box. They prefer to use it just after it has been cleaned. (I do clean it twice daily.)

Tokyo is an aggressive cuddler. She is learning boundaries but dearly loves to be on your chest and snuggling up to your chin. She likes playing with zipper tags and glasses. She will play on her own, batting toys or pieces of trash around for hours, or will play tag with Menge when Menge is willing. Tokyo is not worried about feline dignity and is a bit klutzy.

Menge is a small purring ball of feline. She starts purring as soon as you start to pick her up. She melts with neck scratches and can often be found sleeping soundly in the softest pile of blankets available. No light catnaps for this girl. She sleeps hard! She will drape herself over your shoulder or on your lap, particularly if you are male! She is small enough and persistent enough to make it happen.

Neither cat is very talkative, and they even play-fight quietly.

Menge loves her tunnel and hiding from Tokyo. She would love a kid to play hide and seek with. Laser light tag is always fun for this one. Menge will slip off on her own but will mew if she wakes up and realizes she doesn't know where her people are.

Tokyo loves foil balls and little mice. She will bat them around until they get lost under the furniture. She prefers to be near her humans when awake.

Both cats are most playful in the morning and again in the early afternoon. In between times, a lot of napping and snuggling goes on. They exercise very well independently (and with each other) and do not need human interaction for playtime, except for finding their collection of lost toys and occasionally making the laser light show up on the floor or wall.

These girls live in a split-level ranch house with 3 adult humans. Menge prefers the two men in the household but will happily snuggle with anyone that picks her up. Tokyo just loves everyone.

The girls need to be adopted together and would do best in a home with people around most of the time. They would not do well left alone all day—these loving ladies need the opportunity to snuggle and be comforted by the humans in their life. They do not need a big space.

This dynamic duo adapt well and is easy to manage. They are currently on oral antibiotics, but it is likely those would be done before adoption. Tokyo is working on losing weight so both are on controlled feeding (not free choice). Their forever family would need to help them continue this journey toward their healthiest and best lives.

Are you a work-from-home/stay-at-home cat-lover who is looking to spend lots of time with two very affectionate ladies, who will return your love in so many ways? If so, please consider adding Tokyo and Menge to your family.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.

Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
