Tinkerbell's Story

Introducing Queen Tinkerbell!

Tinkerbell is 13 years young and walks with the air of a gentle sovereign. She'll sit regally and stare up at you, a black void with big, beautiful eyes and delicate facial features. She is also one of the sweetest cats in the world. When she would like attention, she will come up to you, tap a paw gently on your arm, and give a soft “meow”. Tinkerbell loves to snuggle and will find her way onto your bed at night, lay one paw on your hand and go quietly to sleep. When you wake up, she will greet you with a gentle “meow” and then patiently wait while you go through your morning routine.

Tinkerbell loves to be with people and snuggles at every opportunity. She purrs loudly and happily when petted and held. She doesn't play fiercely but will sometimes get interested in a toy dangling in front of her. Everything about her is gentle and kind.

Recently, Tinkerbell has started eating a kidney support diet. She can be a bit of a picky eater and definitely would really rather have the chicken dinner you are having. She will not try to steal your human food, but she will tap you on the arm and give you a reproving look to remind you that sharing is caring. If you tell her no, she might give you another tap but will get the hint after that and go eat her own food. This cat knows her manners!

Tinkerbell needs daily brushing as she has trouble grooming her back due to her size. She appreciates the attention and scratches from the brushing. She also cannot jump to high surfaces like counters but will hop onto the couch and will hop/climb up on to the bed. She loves sunbeams and watching the birds and squirrels through the window. Mostly she wants to curl up next to you and be together.

Tinkerbell would do great in a home with adults and children old enough to be respectful of a senior cat's quieter nature. She would be an amazing companion cat for someone who is home most of the time and wants a loving friend to stay near them. Reach out to meet her and find the amazing magic this gorgeous black cat has - the ability to steal your heart fur-ever!

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Senior cats have an adoption fee of $100. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.
