Meet Theodore! Theodore is a purring, cuddle machine who loves sleep, food, and to be brushed. Theodore has lived with cats in his previous home. If you do have another cat who you think may be a good companion, a slow introduction would need to be set in place to make sure everybody is as comfortable as possible moving forward in this new environment. Theodore has lived with teens and young kids and would prefer to live with teens and up going forward. Theodore is known to be a pretty laid back guy who is ready to curl up and claim a spot to call his own in your home. Theodore would love to meet you and, hopefully, come home with you soon!<br/><br/>Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully.<br/>Ready To Adopt?<br/><br/>You have two options:<br/>#1- VISIT IN PERSON<br/>Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available cats in the shelter. <br/>(Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)<br/><br/>#2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD**<br/>If you're ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.<br/><br/>**Holds are not available on Saturdays and during adoption events.
