Sybil's Story
Written: 9/25/26
Age: 3 months

Meet Sybil!

Sybil was found as a stray and is slowly learning that people can be safe and kind. After spending weeks with very little human socialization, she has already made some wonderful progress — she’s even starting to curl up and sleep in her foster’s arms! She is still learning to trust and will need a patient, understanding home that will give her plenty of time and space to decompress.

Sybil is still getting used to being indoors from living outside her whole life. She’s shy and likes to hide with her sister, Willow. They love to cuddle together. She’s more reserved than her sister but very brave. She is just the prettiest girl, loves food, is timid, shy, quiet, and fiercely independent. Just a girl who's figuring it all out with a cute little face that will have you fawning over her!

Sybil is up-to-date on core vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. She has tested negative for FeLV and FIV. She is mostly litter box trained, and all Beagles and Bentleys cats are required to be indoor only. Her adoption fee is $150 and covers the cost of her care while in foster. To apply to adopt Sybil, please apply at beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt.

Spay/Neuter Disclosure:
Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.

Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.

Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
