Born in Egypt, she made her way to Northern Virginia in hopes of finding her forever home. Shayla is a people-loving cat who follows her people around the room much like a puppy. She traveled with a foster friend from Egypt and gets along well with other cats, as long as they're friendly and not dominant.<br/><br/>Shayla is pure love. She’s a door greeter, a lap sitter, and exudes sweetness and affection. At just over a year old, she still has periodic playfulness of a kitten but is gentle and low-key, true to her Persian breed. She’s eager to build a new relationship with a caring person or family who will allow her lots of snuggle time and wants an affectionate, purry partner and companion. Shayla loves to be with people as much as possible, sharing an easy chair for a movie, keeping you company while you work from home, and waiting patiently for nighttime snuggles. She dislikes being shut away from family activities.<br/>Her Ideal Home:<br/> Shayla needs a family with time to devote not only to regular brushing, eyes and face maintenance but also to cuddles and lots of pets. Experience with Persians or longhaired breeds is a plus. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, combo tested and ready to join a lucky family looking for companionship and love for many years to come. While she gets along with lowkey cats (and traveled to the US in a crate with another cat), she would also be fine as an "only."
