Meet Stormy

Homeless is bad enough but homeless and sick is a lot worse. Momma cat Sky, a mackerel tabby, and her babies Haze, Windy, Stormy and Sunny were dumped outside our rescue. Every kitten was sick and needed medical attention in order to live. Luckily AALOC was able to get them the treatment they needed and all of them are have recovered. They are now ready for new homes!

Mackerel tabbies make great pets. Known as happy-go-lucky cats, they are intelligent and playful as well as clever and entertaining. Famous mackerel tabbies include Morris; The Cheshire Cat; Garfield and Heathcliff; and Jenny-Any-Dots of the musical Cats who sleeps all day because she's been very busy all night being kind and affectionate to others.

Stormy is one of the first to greet you in the bunch, and loves attention! She will join in on the playing fun but what she enjoys most is to get some pets and cuddles from her people. You can bet you will find Stormy all curled up and cozy!

Please submit an application to for either Sky the mother cat or one (or more!) of her babies – females Windy and Stormy or males Haze and Sunny at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to get to know this precious feline family during visiting hours. We recommend an adult-only home or one with children 12 and over.

Donation of $100 for cat adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on adoption policies visit our cat adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.
