Sterling's Story

Sterling is a gorgeous orange-and-white former stray who has happily traded street life for the couch! He loves sitting beside his people, watching TV, making biscuits, and soaking up head kisses and chin scratches. When he's not lounging, his playful side comes out with wand toys and bouncy balls. Sterling can become overstimulated and doesn't like his back touched, so he needs an adult home that will respect his boundaries. He'd also be happiest as an only cat, although an experienced cat owner may be able to find him the right match. After more than a year in foster care, this sweet, quirky boy is more than ready for a forever couch of his own! PURR-Philadelphia Urgent Rescue and Relief's Adoption Policy
The adoption fee for adult cats is $125, and for kittens it is $150. This helps us cover the vet costs needed to get them in tiptop shape and ready to be adopted. We also strongly recommend that our adopters consider getting two cats, especially if you plan on getting kittens! We've found that having two cats is about the same amount of work as having one cat, but comes with a number of benefits: - It gives your cat a buddy to play and socialize with. This really helps them not get bored and improves their emotional well being - You get twice the cuddles and love We will waive the adoption fee for the second cat if you choose to do this!
