Stella & Penelope's Story

**Note: PetFinder sometimes has issues with delivering inquiries. If you do not hear from us within a couple days, please email us directly at stina.larson@gmail.com or email directly regardless.**

Stella and Penny were rescued along with their siblings from an area overrun with unneutered cats, where their chances of survival were uncertain at best. Luckily, their foster mom was able to catch them and bring them home, where they've grown up safe, healthy, and into two wonderful young ladies with bright futures ahead of them.

Stella is a pretty girl in a shiny black coat who carries herself with quiet grace. She has taken a little more time than her siblings to find her footing with humans — but she is getting there, and getting there quickly. When she is relaxed and resting, she is happy to accept pets and be picked up, and every day she grows a little more confident in her world. She is an enthusiastic player who loves a good wrestling match with her siblings, and the girl who is still finding her confidence with people has absolutely no hesitation on the playing field. She just needs a little patience and a little time — and she will reward both generously.

Penny is a sweet-faced girl in a striking black and white spotted coat, and she is the talker of the duo. Curious, confident, and completely unafraid, Penny is first to the door when her humans arrive and first in line for hugs. She loves treats, but unlike some of her siblings, she is perfectly happy to share — a polite and generous girl through and through. She loves pets, loves playing, and has a natural ease with people that makes her a wonderful confidence booster for her sister. And lately, Penny has discovered the joy of lap sitting — she is becoming quite the lap kitty and is happy to settle in and stay a while once she finds a good one. Penny is exactly the kind of steady, sunny presence that helps a more cautious cat realize the world is actually pretty great.

Together, Stella and Penny balance each other beautifully. These two are growing and blossoming every single day, becoming more social and more comfortable with humans all the time. Rescued at such a young age, they are still learning — but they are learning fast, and the cats they are becoming are truly something to look forward to.

These girls would do best in a home with older children who know how to be gentle with animals and give them space when needed.

Two sisters, two bright futures — and a whole lot of love to give.

The adoption fee is $250.

Stella and Penny were born around 5/10/26. They have been spayed and vaccinated. They are litter box trained.

We recommend adopting two kittens if you have no other pets (or even if you do), because you will get twice the love with less work and they will develop fewer behavioral issues, while costs remain relatively similar.

We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.

When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?

All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.

For additional information on our group and what we do, please check out our website: www.pawsitivity.info

Pawsitivity's Adoption Policy
Adopter understands that kittens/cats available for adoption have been rescued from a variety of situations, including neglect/abuse, as such could be subject to health or behavioral problems not known at this time. Adopter agrees and accepts the kitten/cat with this understanding. The kittens/cats are healthy and up to date on all vaccines and medical treatments which were necessary for the health of the kitten/cat. Rescuer/foster makes no further guarantees or warranties of any kind for health of the kitten/cat and that the adopter assumes all risks at/from the time of initial possession and following. Adopter understands full responsibility for the health and welfare of the adopted kitten/cat for the duration of the natural life. The responsibility includes all costs for veterinary and health needs, housing and shelter, food and any other expenses related to care and welfare. Adopter agrees to contact a veterinarian to follow up vaccines, if needed. Adopter understands that declawing cats is a cruel procedure and will not do that to the adopted kitten/cat. Adopter agrees to pay the adoption fee/donation. We do not have an adoption application, but we do want to speak to the potential adopter and ask a few questions in order to make sure we find the right fit for our cats/kittens.
