Sriracha may be shy, but she's proof that patience, love, and a little confidence-building can work wonders.<br/><br/>Found living in an abandoned Baltimore City home, Sriracha wasn't so sure about people when she first arrived in foster care. While her siblings quickly embraced the indoor life, Sriracha preferred to observe from a safe distance.<br/><br/>But every day, she gets a little braver.<br/><br/>Recently, she's started jumping into bed with her foster family, choosing to be close to her people and showing that she's beginning to trust and seek out companionship on her own terms. She's even rewarded her foster family with some sweet purrs as she continues to come out of her shell.<br/><br/>Sriracha enjoys playing with other cats and kittens and would do best in a home with a confident feline friend who can help show her that people are pretty great. Because of her age and social needs, she must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with a friendly resident cat or other appropriate furry companion.<br/><br/>The most rewarding cats are often the ones who take a little extra time. Review our adoption contract and application.<br/><br/>2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling.<br/><br/>3. You will be notified of the outcome of your application within 1-3 days.<br/><br/>5. If approved, you will be introduced to the foster to schedule a meeting within 5 days. Guidelines for the meeting are:<br/><br/>- Bring a carrier and be prepared to take the animal home directly from the meeting.<br/><br/>- Please be prepared to submit the adoption fee via electronic payment at the meeting.<br/><br/>- If all goes well, the cat will go home with you directly after the meeting. If you are not ready to adopt at the conclusion of the meeting, please understand that we may process other applications for the cat. Because we have a limited number of foster homes, we cannot hold cats past adoption.<br/><br/>6.
