Spalding's Story
Meet Spalding!

At 2 years old, Spalding is a whole lot of sweetness wrapped in an impossibly soft, furry package. This handsome gentleman knows what he likes: under-the-chin scratches, cheek rubs, belly rubs, full-body brushing sessions, good food, and singing the song of his people (although his future serenades may become less frequent after neutering!).

Spalding has excellent litter box manners. He's also a remarkably easygoing guy when it comes to the less exciting parts of cat ownership. Being picked up? No problem. Getting into his carrier? Piece of cake. Trips to the vet? He takes them in stride. And despite being quite the conversationalist at home, he goes completely silent during car rides.

He's a bit of a cautious gentleman when entering new spaces or meeting new people, so he'll appreciate a little patience while he settles in. But don't let that initial shyness fool you! He's made remarkable progress with us, going from disappearing into mysterious hiding places during evening TV time to happily snuggling on the couch with his humans. Once he feels safe, his affectionate side really shines.

And here's another bonus: we've yet to experience a single swat or bite from this furry lord of the manor.

We haven't had the opportunity to see how Spalding does with dogs, children, or other cats, so those relationships remain a mystery. Based on what we've seen, we suspect he'd be happiest in a quieter home with cozy, safe hiding spots and plenty of humans willing to serve as full-time petting machines.

If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who appreciates the finer things in life (especially belly rubs and snacks), Spalding might just be your guy.

His ideal home? A peaceful kingdom, a comfy couch, a full food bowl, and people who understand that royalty requires regular brushing and an occasional belly rub.

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If you are interested in meeting this cat, please fill out an application on our website!

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application
