Solstice Hyattsville Domestic Short Hair Merrifield, VA

Hi, I'm Solstice! I am a dapper young guy, blessed with a cool butterfly mustache to complement my 15 pounds of perfect tuxedo.

When I came to 4Paws, I was not in good shape. I didn't even know how to play! But now I like to play with springs and balls on my own, plus my foster parents and I play with the laser and string toys and sometimes even chase the discs that fly from the fetch toy.

Most of my day is spent snoozing or looking out the window. My favorite spot in the house is on the back of the couch. Sometimes I will jump onto my foster mom's desk and help her work.

I don't make a fuss when my foster parents leave, but I do kind of miss them while they are gone. I let them know this by allowing them to give me belly rubs when they get home.

I do like to be near my foster parents. I don't sit on their laps or climb on them while they are sleeping, though. My foster mom says I am great at sleeping through the night and she appreciates me waking her up at a reasonable hour.

A few more things about me:

I am exceptionally good at meeting new people!
I'm much calmer on car rides than other cats.
I love chin rubs!
I really like to be brushed.
Drawstrings are my mortal enemy, and I will attack any that I see.
I know how to sit on command and could learn other tricks because I'm very smart and love treats.

Solstice was born Jan 2023. He is neutered, current on rabies & distemper vaccinations, tested negative for FIV & feline leukemia and microchipped.
