Meet Fettucine & Tortellini
Approximately 2-3 years old, these two beautiful cats have been through it all together! You may remember their story... to recap, they came to us pregnant and frightened. We have no idea if they may be sisters- we believe so! They're definitely related. Within a couple days, they learned they could trust us and showed us how friendly and sweet they were.
Tortellini gave birth to 3 kittens the day after Christmas. Snowy jumped in to help with mothering them immediately, so we had a mama and three kittens & a second (pregnant!) mama!
Snowy planned to have her babies exactly one week later, the day after New Years Day. She went into labor early in the day on New Years, but didn't progress as she should have. After a long trip & most of the night at the emergency vet in Buffalo, she came home in hopes the meds she was given would work. It didn't. The following morning Snowy had an emergency c-section, Only one tiny kitten survived to join the existing litter,
Snowy was sick with a high fever through it all, the vets at Hilton Animal Hospital got everything under control and she was able to join her surviving kitten at home later that day.
Snowy was unable to nurse her kitten, as her milk supply never came in, so Tortellini came to the rescue! She nursed the family of now 4 kittens and Snowy never left their side! Grooming and caring for them all, these beautiful ladies raised a beautiful family!
They are quite a pair! Tortellini is a bit on the shy side at first but loves affection and snuggles! Snowy is playful and a little ornery- what a hoot she is! They truly deserve a great home- hopefully together.
The kittens will not be ready for adoption for a while, they have about 5 weeks left until their spay/neuter appointments but these beautiful mamas are more than ready to find their families now.
If you're truly looking to adopt "rescues," these girls are as rescue as they come. They were rescued, they rescued each other and they've worked together to rescue a tiny kitten, born via c-section, who had low odds of survival but is now thriving!
Preference will be given to a great adopter who will adopt them & keep them together.
