Simon Tam's Story

Hi, I’m Simon Tam

Yes, I’m a tabby cutie—and yes, I know it.

I was born outdoors, but I was lucky enough to be rescued so I could grow up safe and cozy inside. Indoor life suits me just fine: toys, soft beds, snacks on schedule? I approve.

I get along great with other cats and even dogs. I’d really love to be adopted with one of my siblings so we can keep the fun going together. If that’s not possible, I’ll definitely need another friendly, playful kitty in my new home. I’m social and happiest when I have a buddy to wrestle, zoom, and nap near.

Now, let’s talk personality. I’m not quite as snuggly as some of my siblings—I’ve got important business to attend to, like playing and investigating. But when I decide it’s cuddle time? Oh, it’s next level. I will demand your attention, settle in, and deliver snuggles so good they last until you physically can’t sit still anymore. You’re welcome in advance.

I’m playful, confident, and just independent enough to keep things interesting—while still giving you those unforgettable cuddle sessions on my terms.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving tabby with personality, charm, and elite-level snuggles (by appointment), I’m your girl.

Simon Tam is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
