Shasta's Story
Don't let Shasta's serious expression fool you—she's one of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet. While she may sometimes look like she's judging your life choices from across the room, she's actually a loving, affectionate girl who adores being around people. At 4 years old, Shasta is looking for a home where she can be someone's constant companion. She doesn't enjoy being alone and thrives when she has people nearby to keep her company. Once she feels comfortable, her playful, goofy side comes out, and she'll happily entertain herself (and you) with string toys, catnip, and her charming personality. Shasta loves lap time and affection and is happiest curled up next to her favorite humans. She can be a little shy and cautious at first, but she's friendly and calm with adults and quickly warms up when she knows she's safe. Shasta would do best as the only pet in an adult-only home. Dogs, other cats, and children are simply too stressful for her, and she'll be happiest in a quiet, predictable environment where she can relax and be the queen of the castle. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a hilariously grumpy face, a soft heart, and plenty of love to give, Shasta may be your perfect match. Behind that stern expression is a sweet, cuddly girl just waiting for her person.
