As a torti she definitely prefers to come to you on her own terms, offering that classic torti personality. However, when her boundaries are respected, Shalissa is a sweetheart.

Shalissa’s favourite past time is definitely taking cat naps in the coziest spots possible. She prefers to spend her time within her comfort zone, often choosing to stay in her bed in her kennel compared to roaming around the cat room. She can adapt to older, more mellow cats with time, but prefers to stay away from the rambunctious younger cats here. She definitely draws the line with dogs though!

At only 4 years old, she enjoys to play and interact with her people! Shalissa would benefit from an adopter who will help her lose some weight so she can live her best, healthiest life for the many years to come.

We've recently gotten to experience her playful side, she's choosing to come out and explore more and quite enjoys sniffing around all the nooks and crannies she can find. She makes us laugh when she crawls into the tiny cat houses, or under shelves to get a much deserved nap.

If you’re interested in learning more about Shalissa, please send us a message and come down to the shelter!
