Meet SCUPPY
SCUPPY is 18 years old. He was surrendered to our shelter along with 8 of his feline relatives.
His human mom is terminally ill and has moved into assisted living and the dad is suffering from dementia and no longer to care for the cats.
All of the cats came to us in poor condition - severely matted and requiring complete shave downs. SCUPPY was in the worst condition of all. He was so badly matted he was unable to walk. After his shave down we discovered urine scalds all over his legs and belly. He shows signs of early kidney disease and when he first arrived his blood glucose was high. We switched him straight to a grain free raw diet and his numbers have level right out. He needs to lose some weight, which will help with the blood sugar as well. SCUPPY is 18, so whoever adopts him will need to be financially stable and willing to provide senior medical care for his age-related issues.
As of right now all he needs are some supplements for his arthritis and a high quality raw diet. NO DRY FOOD - it's full of carbohydrates.
SCUPPY is a super sweet cat with an AMAZING PERSONALITY. He is talkative and loving and just like with all orange cats, he has an exceptional personality. He will love you and keep you laughing until the end of his days, whenever that may be.
