Sam & Rikki's Story

**Note: PetFinder sometimes has issues with delivering inquiries. If you do not hear from us within a couple days, please email us directly at stina.larson@gmail.com or email directly regardless.**

Sam and Rikki's story starts with a kind gentleman who noticed a mom cat and her kittens near his home and made sure they were watched over and fed until they were old enough to be safely rescued. Thanks to his care and their wonderful foster family, these two have grown up safe, healthy, and into two genuinely charming young cats with a lot of love to give.

Sam is a good looking fellow with a handsome grey tabby coat and a decidedly chill approach to life. He's the only boy in the litter, but that doesn't faze him one bit — he holds his own just fine. Don't let the laid back vibe fool you though, because Sam absolutely loves a good wrestling match with his sisters and is always up for whatever game is on offer. He is a devoted lap cat who loves nothing more than curling up with his humans and checking in with them throughout the day to make sure everything is as it should be.

Rikki is a stunning girl with a sleek black coat and the most magnificent long tail you've ever seen on a kitten. She is outgoing, confident, and has absolutely no reservations about seeking out her humans and asking for the attention she deserves — pets and scritches, please, and don't be stingy. She is up for any game going — toy ball, feather, you name it — and brings the same fearless energy to wrestling matches with her brother Sam. Word is she might even have the edge on him. Sam has not confirmed this. Like her brother, Rikki has become a true love bug who is equally happy curled up on a lap as she is chasing a toy across the room.

These two have completely come out of their shells and are now the social, affectionate cats they were always meant to be. They will adapt quickly and easily to their new home and the humans in it.

Sam and Rikki have had some outdoor experience and would truly appreciate a home with a safe outdoor space for supervised exploration, or a catio where they could enjoy the fresh air and sunshine without any of the risks. They would do best with older children who know how to be gentle with animals and give them space when needed.

Sam and Rikki are a brother and sister team with resilience, personality, and a whole lot of love to give. These two are going to make someone very happy indeed.

Their adoption fee is $250.

Sam and Rikki were born around 5/11/26. They have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated. They are litter box trained.

We recommend adopting two kittens if you have no other pets (or even if you do), because you will get twice the love with less work and they will develop fewer behavioral issues, while costs remain relatively similar.

We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.

When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?

All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.

For additional information on our group and what we do, please check out our website: www.pawsitivity.info

Pawsitivity's Adoption Policy
Adopter understands that kittens/cats available for adoption have been rescued from a variety of situations, including neglect/abuse, as such could be subject to health or behavioral problems not known at this time. Adopter agrees and accepts the kitten/cat with this understanding. The kittens/cats are healthy and up to date on all vaccines and medical treatments which were necessary for the health of the kitten/cat. Rescuer/foster makes no further guarantees or warranties of any kind for health of the kitten/cat and that the adopter assumes all risks at/from the time of initial possession and following. Adopter understands full responsibility for the health and welfare of the adopted kitten/cat for the duration of the natural life. The responsibility includes all costs for veterinary and health needs, housing and shelter, food and any other expenses related to care and welfare. Adopter agrees to contact a veterinarian to follow up vaccines, if needed. Adopter understands that declawing cats is a cruel procedure and will not do that to the adopted kitten/cat. Adopter agrees to pay the adoption fee/donation. We do not have an adoption application, but we do want to speak to the potential adopter and ask a few questions in order to make sure we find the right fit for our cats/kittens.
