Rusty and Rosie (Bonded Pair)'s Story

BONDED PAIR: Rusty and Rosie

Some things in life are simply meant to be together — bacon and eggs, cookies and milk, Kermit and Miss Piggy… and Rusty and Rosie.
Rusty (tan/white) and Rosie (black/white) are 6 year old littermates who have spent their entire lives side by side. They recently lost their beloved human, and they’ve been leaning on each other for comfort as they grieve. Now, these two are hoping for a new forever home where they can stay together and feel safe again.
They are wonderfully cared for — spayed/neutered, fully up to date on veterinary care, and front paw declawed. They groom each other lovingly, have the occasional sibling spat, and then make up just as quickly. They adore being brushed, and a lint roller feels like spa treatment to them.
Rusty is the biscuit making brother with a loyal heart and a lot to say. He used to sit on his human’s shoes to keep her from leaving, and they both greeted her at the door when she returned home. Rosie is the quicker eater and a bit more reserved, but she’s just as affectionate — and usually patient when Rusty steals the prime lap spot.
They are indoor only, use their litterboxes, and would likely thrive in a quiet home with a predictable routine, just like the one they are used to.
Rusty and Rosie are part of Mercy Hospice’s Pet Peace of Mind program, which believes pets are family and works to ensure our patients’ companions find loving, stable homes.
For more information about this devoted duo, please text or email: 314 956 8931 or Nancy.Preheim@Mercy.net.
Rusty and Rosie are located in Sullivan, Missouri.
