Rhyker's Story

This is Rhyker. He weighs a very unhealthy 27.6 lbs and was relinquished to The Sanctuary at Haafsville, along with his 18lb housemate Christian, following the death of their owner. Rhyker is extremely sweet, trusting, friendly, and likes to be brushed/combed. He desperately needs his own home with someone who can help him lose weight. He is on a weight management food at the shelter, but this obviously is not the best situation for him. Older cats tend not to adjust that well to a shelter environment in the best of health, so he is already behind the 8 ball. Visit us at our Dog Adoption Center located at 901 Nestle Way, Breinigsville 18031 PA Kennel License #8356 DOG Open Hours – Saturdays 10am – 2pm PLEASE NOTE: *Dog adoptions will not take place during this timeframe. Applications will only be taken. We do not pre-approve our dog applications. *Please keep your current dogs at home! *Please do your best to have ALL (human) members of the household present to meet the dogs. *You may experience long waits as we work with everyone…we are all volunteers and sometimes short staffed, so your patience is appreciated. *Please direct inquiries to dogadoptions@thesanctuarypa.org only if you cannot make it out on a Saturday.
